English II Resources

We use persuasive writing all year.  Not only will you write a persuasive essay, but you will also present a persuasive speech.  In English II, nearly every writing assignment you do will be argumentative.  (This means that your thesis presents an argument and your essay provides support for your argument in an attempt to persuade your audience.)  

 

Additionally, most writing samples for standardized tests will have a persuasive writing prompt.  It is important to make sure that you understand how to use these tools of persuasion.
